The project brief was to design and prototype a specific furniture typology - the portable free standing storage form - as typified by the penguin donkey.

 

The  Donkey 4 is a portable storage device designed for the living room, inspired by the Isokon Plus Penguin Donkey range.

 

The donkey was designed to be a rational, functional storage solution for modern day living. Five undefined spaces allow for a variety of different objects to be stored inside and a flat top enables the donkey to double up as a side table.

 

Donkey 4 is fabricated from birch plywood and manufactured using a CNC router.
